Creating a happy and calm environment for yourself

I have been trying to find ways to make myself happier and less anxious and truthfully I have found that a clean, happy, and bright room is SO IMPORTANT. I think for me I enjoy having control over the vibes of my environment because I don’t have control over my mental health and negative thoughts.

The space where you spend most of your time in should be a clam, clean and fresh space. Sometimes people never want to start cleaning because they are scared of even starting. Cleaning an entire room might be daunting but I am here to convince you otherwise. I want you to see the benefits of having a clean and organized space.

How do I get started?

Here are my top ten decor tips for the ULTIMATE personal space:

10. Add small shelves to add a functional and sentimental dimension to the room

9. Have a small candle, even if you never light it, for a fun pop of color and a fresh aroma

8. Find the perfect mix of complementary and fashionable pillows for a comfortable and functional aesthetic

7. Always group decorative items in threes to bring balance and cohesiveness to the space

6. Don’t be afraid to add an inexpensive removable wallpaper to create that accent wall you’ve always imagined

5. Incorporate small neon signs to create a soothing atmosphere while studying or reading

4. Combine vibrant and neutral colors to provide both warmth and instant energy to the room

3. Add your favorite inspirational quotes around your desk and work area to help keep you motivated

2. Introduce a garden element (such as succulents or flowers) to keep you calm and centered

1. Hang home-made photo collages and incorporate special memories with friends and family to remind you of the things you love

If you surround yourself in an environment that is soothing, your brain and your thoughts will start to calm too.

There will be a lot of tips for creating a happy and calm environment, so stay tuned!
